Planning a Visit to Our Boca Raton Furniture Showroom: Location, Hours, and How to Leave With the Room Solved

By Frank Chacin, Managing Director at SoBe Furniture

Every week someone calls the showroom and asks a version of the same three questions: where exactly are you, how long should I plan to spend, and do I need an appointment. They are good questions, and the fact that people ask them tells me something about how furniture shopping has changed. Most of our clients have already spent hours online before they ever pick up the phone. They have shortlists. They have screenshots. What they want from a showroom visit is not browsing; it is certainty, and they want to get it efficiently.

So this is the guide I wish every first-time visitor had before they drove up Federal Highway. It covers where we are, what you will find on the floor, how to use the visit so you leave with decisions made and delivery scheduled, and what happens after. I am writing it as the Managing Director because, after seventeen years of doing this in Boca Raton, I have a fairly clear picture of what makes a visit worth the trip.

The short version: come with your measurements, plan on an hour to ninety minutes, and expect to leave with the room solved. The long version follows.

Where We Are and When to Come

The location

SoBe Furniture is at 6599 N Federal Highway in Boca Raton, on US-1 north of downtown and Mizner Park, an easy drive from Delray Beach and Highland Beach to the north and from Deerfield Beach and Parkland to the south and west. Parking is right at the showroom. If you are coming from Fort Lauderdale or Weston, allow about forty minutes on I-95 to Yamato Road or Glades Road and then a few minutes east and north on Federal.

Hours and the best time to visit

We are open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM. Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the quietest, which means the most one-on-one time with our team and the easiest time to spread samples out on a table. Saturday afternoons are the busiest and the most energetic. Both work; choose by how you like to shop.

Appointments

You do not need one. That said, if you call ahead or send photos of your room through our contact page, we will have candidate pieces pulled and samples ready when you walk in, which turns a ninety-minute visit into an hour. Clients furnishing a whole home or a second residence from out of state almost always do this, and it is the single best way to use our time and yours.

Before You Come: A Two-Minute Checklist

Room length, width, and ceiling height. The doorway and elevator route, with the building's delivery hours if you live in a condo. Three daylight photos from the room's doorway. A cushion, drawer front, or flooring sample for anything that stays. Your shortlist from the website, with screenshots. And everyone who has a vote. That is the whole list, and it takes an evening. Clients who arrive with it finish rooms in an hour; clients who arrive without it usually come back a second time with it. Both are welcome, but the first group gets to enjoy the room sooner.

What Is on the Floor

The showroom is arranged as rooms rather than rows, because furniture is bought as rooms. You will walk through complete living rooms built around Italian leather sofas and sectionals, dining rooms anchored by ceramic and travertine-look tables like the Carrara Jade Ceramic Extension Dining Table and the Camilla White Modern Round Dining Table, bedroom suites, home office pieces, accent chairs, coffee tables such as the Strata Coffee Table, consoles, mirrors, and decor. Everything on the floor is new and premium, chosen for a modern and contemporary point of view with a strong Italian core, and most of it is either in stock in our Florida warehouse or a short order away. If you have seen something in our newest arrivals or best sellers online, it is very likely on the floor.

How to Use the Visit: The Five-Step Plan

1. Bring the measurements and the photos

Room dimensions, ceiling height, the door and elevator route, and daylight photos from the doorway. With those, our team can rule pieces in or out in seconds and you spend your time on the pieces that fit.

2. Start with the anchor

Tell us the room and the piece that anchors it: the sofa, the dining table, the bed. We will walk you to the two or three candidates that fit your measurements and your style, and you will sit, extend, open, and compare. Do not start with pillows.

3. Build the room around it

Once the anchor is chosen, the supporting pieces come fast, because the floor is arranged to show what goes with what. Chairs for the table, a coffee table and console for the sofa, nightstands for the bed. Most rooms are complete in under an hour from this point.

4. Ask what is in stock

This is the question that decides whether the room is finished next week or in November. We will tell you plainly which pieces are in Florida now and which are special orders, and we will sequence deliveries so you are living in a real room while any special piece is on its way.

5. Schedule delivery before you leave

White-glove delivery is scheduled at the desk, with a date, a window, and any building requirements noted. You leave knowing when the room will be done.

Who You Will Meet

Our floor is staffed by people who have furnished thousands of South Florida rooms, and they specialize. Ricardo, our showroom manager, has handled Italian leather for most of his career and will tell you within a minute which finish suits a home with dogs and a west-facing window. Hector is the practical buyer's guide; he is the one who lifts the corner of a chair to show you what a hardwood frame feels like. Daniela runs the client experience side and is the person who makes sure your delivery date, your building's freight rules, and your special order all line up. Several days a week I am on the floor myself, and I am always glad to talk about where a piece was made and why we chose it. Nobody works on pressure; everybody works on getting the room right, because a room done right is how we have stayed in business on Federal Highway for seventeen years.

A First Visit, Minute by Minute

Here is how a typical living room visit runs. Minutes 0 to 10: you are greeted, hand over your photos and measurements, and walk the floor with one of us to the three sofas or sectionals that fit your room. Minutes 10 to 35: you sit, properly, on each one, compare leathers and fabrics at the window, and choose. Minutes 35 to 60: we build the room around the anchor, standing coffee tables, consoles, and an accent chair next to it until the combination is right. Minutes 60 to 75: we confirm what is in stock, price the room, explain any financing you ask about, and schedule delivery. Minute 75: you leave with a date. Dining rooms and bedrooms run a little faster; whole homes run longer and are best split across a morning with photos sent ahead.

What Happens After You Buy

Our delivery team brings everything inside, assembles what needs assembly, places each piece where you want it, levels and tethers what needs it, and removes every scrap of packaging. For condo deliveries in Boca Raton, Highland Beach, and Delray Beach, we coordinate with the building's freight schedule so you are not the one negotiating with the front desk. If a piece is a special order, we keep you informed of its progress and schedule its delivery the moment it lands in Florida. If anything about a piece does not sit or function the way it did on the floor once it is in your home, call us and we will make it right. Furniture is a long relationship, and the visit is only the beginning of it.

Financing, Design Help, and Second Homes

Financing options are available and explained at the showroom in plain language, and our team will walk you through them without pressure. Design help is part of the visit, not a separate service; the people on our floor have furnished thousands of South Florida rooms and will tell you honestly when a piece is wrong for your space. For seasonal residents furnishing a Boca Raton second home from the Northeast or the Midwest, we regularly complete the whole process in a single visit, with delivery timed to your arrival, and we are happy to work from photos and video calls between visits.
