It happens more often than you might think: someone walks into our Boca Raton showroom with a folder of floor plans and a car that has been on the road for a while. Some come down from Port St. Lucie within days of closing on a new build in Tradition. Others cross the state from Naples mid-remodel, paint deck in hand. They want to sit on the furniture before they commit.
This guide is about the day itself: why the drive makes sense, what to send ahead, what to bring, how to walk the showroom so you leave with decisions, and how the new-homeowner offer for both areas works.
Why so many buyers from both areas make the drive
Both Port St. Lucie and Naples have fewer modern and contemporary showrooms close to home than most people expect when they start shopping.
Port St. Lucie is one of Florida's fastest-growing cities, with new construction across Tradition and the western communities. New homes there tend to have open plans, tall ceilings and big rooms that call for pieces scaled to the space rather than to a catalog page.
Naples is known for refined coastal and traditional interiors, and that look is well served locally. Buyers who want clean-lined Italian modern instead often find they need to travel for it.
Our showroom on US-1 in Boca Raton is a single location with a deep selection of modern and contemporary furniture, much of it Italian-crafted, many pieces in stock locally and many more made to order. How to plan the day
Send the floor plan ahead
The most useful thing you can do happens before you leave the house. Send your floor plan and a few photos through our contact page or to ops@sobefurniture.com a few days before your visit. Tell us which rooms you are furnishing and roughly when you need everything in place.
The showroom design consultation is complimentary. With the plan in hand, our team can flag which pieces are in stock, which are made to order, and where a custom wall unit or closet might solve a problem before you ever get in the car.
What to measure
Room dimensions are the start, not the end. Measure ceiling heights, window sill heights, the distance from each corner to the first outlet, and the width of your front door, hallway turns and any stairwell a sofa or bed has to pass through. Note where the television wall is and which way the sliders open. A tape measure at the house catches what the builder's drawing misses.
What to bring
Bring flooring and paint samples if you have them, or photos of the installed finishes, plus the measurements above. If you are keeping any existing pieces, bring a photo and dimensions so we can work around them. A list of rooms in priority order helps too, because most people cannot furnish an entire house in one afternoon and should not try.
The order of the showroom walk
Start with the room you use most, which for most families means the living room and the sectional in it. A sofa anchors the plan and sets the scale for everything around it. Move next to dining, the second-largest footprint on the plan. Then bedrooms, where frame width and mattress size need to agree with your measurements. Finish with storage, wall units and accents. In this order, each decision informs the next.

Lunch at Mizner Park
Plan a break. Mizner Park is about 10 to 12 minutes from the showroom and has plenty of lunch options. Go after your first pass through the showroom, talk it over, then come back for decisions. The second pass is usually shorter and far more productive.
Delivery scheduled to your door
Before you leave, we schedule delivery around your move-in or remodel timeline. In-stock pieces can be scheduled quickly; made-to-order pieces get a target window so you know what is arriving and when. Outside South Florida, delivery is quoted separately. For Port St. Lucie and Naples, our own white-glove team handles it when our schedule allows, and otherwise we arrange a third-party delivery service.
The two routes
From Port St. Lucie
The showroom is about 70 miles from Port St. Lucie, or about 75 minutes on a typical day. From Tradition, St. Lucie West, Torino, Tesoro or PGA Village, take Crosstown Parkway to I-95 South or the Turnpike, exit at Yamato Road and head east to US-1. If you prefer a slower morning, US-1 through Jensen Beach and Stuart is the scenic option.
From Naples
From Old Naples, Fifth Avenue South, Park Shore, Pelican Bay, Port Royal or Vanderbilt Beach, the trip is about 120 miles and about two hours. Take I-75 east across Alligator Alley, then I-595 east and I-95 north to Yamato Road, then east to US-1. Leaving early usually puts you at the showroom around opening time and leaves the whole day.

What happens after
Once the order is placed, the rest is one white-glove delivery. Our team confirms a scheduled window, brings everything in, places each piece where you want it, assembles what needs assembling and removes all packaging before leaving.
