What White-Glove Delivery May Include
Service tiers vary by piece and route, but white-glove generally includes:
- Inside placement in the room you specify
- Basic assembly (legs on sofas, bed frames, dining tables)
- Mechanism testing for sleepers, recliners, and motorized pieces
- Packaging removal from your home
- Inspection before the installer leaves
Wall mounting, complex assembly, and installation of older or unrelated furniture are not part of standard delivery. If you need those services, ask in advance and we can arrange options.
Condo and High-Rise Delivery Considerations
Condo delivery is its own discipline. The variables that matter:
- Certificate of Insurance (COI): Most Boca and Intracoastal high-rises require the delivery company to provide a COI in advance. Our installer handles this.
- Freight elevator window: Many buildings only allow large deliveries during weekday daytime hours. Some restrict weekends and holidays.
- Reservation: The building manager or concierge often needs to reserve the freight elevator for your delivery window.
- Padding requirements: Many buildings require pads on elevator walls during furniture deliveries.
- Parking: Some buildings have limited truck staging zones and may require a specific delivery dock entrance.
Tell us your building when you order. We have delivered into nearly every major building from Boca Raton to Fort Lauderdale and we know the local rules.
Measuring Doorways, Hallways, Stairways, and Elevators
Before you commit to a large piece, confirm it physically fits.
- Truck-to-door path: Width of any gates, walkways, and entry doors
- Doorway widths: Standard interior doors are 30 to 36 inches; front doors are usually wider
- Hallway width and turn radius: Tight 90-degree turns are the most common fit problem
- Stairway clearance: Width, headroom, and the diagonal length of any turn at the top or bottom
- Freight elevator interior: Width, depth, and ceiling height
Most modular sectionals and beds break down for delivery. Many fixed-frame pieces do not. If anything is uncertain, our team verifies before ordering.
Preparing Your Home for Delivery Day
- Clear the path from the entry to the destination room
- Move fragile items off bookshelves and tables along the path
- Remove the furniture being replaced if you have arranged for old-piece removal
- Have someone present to direct placement and sign for delivery
- Confirm building access and parking the day before for condo deliveries
- Have your phone available; the installer typically calls 30 minutes ahead
Delivery Questions to Ask Before You Buy
A few things worth confirming before you place an order:
- Is white-glove included or is curbside the default?
- What is the estimated lead time from order to delivery?
- What is the cancellation or change policy?
- How is damage handled if it occurs during delivery?
- Is removal of old furniture available?
- Can the delivery be split across multiple days for a large order?
Our team answers all of this at the time of order and in writing on your quote.
