Everything on our floor can be sat on and measured. A good share of what you see is sitting in our local warehouse, ready for a Fort Lauderdale delivery; the rest is made to order in whatever fabric, leather and finish you pick.

From downtown Fort Lauderdale or the beach, take I-95 north to exit 48 (Yamato Road), head east to US-1 (Federal Highway), then turn north and watch for the showroom about a mile along. What Is on the Floor in Boca Raton

Judge scale on the floor the way it will read at home. Start with sectionals and sofas; our Italian sofas and leather sectionals page covers the leathers and configurations. Then dining rooms: rectangular tables for long waterfront rooms, round and square tables for the tighter footprint of a renovated ranch, and counter stools for the kitchen islands that anchor most Fort Lauderdale open plans.

Add bedroom collections, TV stands, sleeper sofas for seasonal guests, coffee tables and console tables, rugs, lighting, mirrors, wall art and seating for the covered terrace. Furnishing a Fort Lauderdale Home

Waterfront great rooms and covered terraces. On the Las Olas Isles, in Rio Vista, Harbor Beach, Bay Colony and The Landings, the living area usually runs straight through sliders to a covered terrace and the dock. The sofa is seen from behind as often as from the front, so choose one finished on every side and float it off the wall to face the water. Measure the glass line the seating will address, then the clear path from the front door, since furniture rarely comes in from the water side.

High-rise living rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass. In downtown and Flagler Village towers, on Lauderdale Beach and along the Galt Ocean Mile, the view is the point, so keep the pieces in front of the glass low: a low-backed sofa, a coffee table you can see over, a console rather than a wall of storage. Photograph the room at midday, too, so a designer can see how much direct light reaches the seating before you pick a leather or fabric.

Renovated mid-century ranches. In Coral Ridge, Victoria Park, Tarpon River and Coral Ridge Country Club, the usual renovation removes the kitchen wall and turns a chain of small rooms into one long one. Ceilings are lower, so bulky, high-armed pieces make the room feel shorter; a long, low sectional and a round table where the old dining room was usually do more. Measure the new open span end to end and note where the island lands; it now decides where the table goes.

Sectionals sized to the wall. In a Galt Ocean Mile living room the sectional usually sits with its back to the entry and faces the glass; in a Coral Ridge ranch it goes on the longest wall of the new open span. Either way, bring three numbers: the wall length, which side the chaise should be on when you face the sofa, and where the path to the terrace or hallway crosses it.

Dining for entertaining. Fort Lauderdale homes host boat-day lunches, holiday dinners and family in for the season. Bring the number you seat regularly and the most you seat a few times a year. A rectangular table sized to the larger number seats everyone without crowding the room the rest of the year.

Final measurements are taken at your Fort Lauderdale home before fabrication, so ceiling height, baseboards and outlet locations are accounted for.

XL family beds. Families who share the bed choose our XL family beds: 120 inches wide, two Queen mattresses side by side, or 152 inches wide, two Kings, in four signature designs or fully custom. A new waterfront build in Rio Vista or Harbor Beach usually has a primary suite wide enough for the 152-inch bed and a nightstand on each side; in a Victoria Park or Tarpon River ranch bedroom, wall length and door swing decide between the two sizes, so measure both first.

Delivery to Fort Lauderdale

White-glove delivery and installation is free to every Fort Lauderdale address. On the day, the truck comes down I-95 inside the window we agreed with you or your building, the pieces go straight to the rooms you planned them for, get assembled and set in place, and the cartons leave with the crew; nothing is dropped at a loading dock for you to move. High-rises downtown, on Lauderdale Beach and along the Galt Ocean Mile typically require a certificate of insurance on file with management, a reserved service elevator and a delivery window inside the building's permitted hours. Send us the management office contact and the move-in rules when you order.

Gated communities need a gate pass, which we arrange in advance. On the Las Olas Isles and in Rio Vista, tell us about narrow side gates or a low bridge on the way in so the crew can plan the approach, and measure the smallest opening between the street and the room so your pieces are configured to fit.

Is delivery to Fort Lauderdale free?

Yes. Fort Lauderdale sits inside our no-charge white-glove zone (all of Broward, plus Palm Beach and Miami-Dade), and there is no surcharge for a high-rise, a gated community or an island address.

Can you deliver to a high-rise on the Galt Ocean Mile or in downtown Fort Lauderdale?

Yes. We supply the certificate of insurance your building requires, reserve the service elevator through management and schedule inside the building's permitted hours. Measure the service elevator cab and door so your pieces are configured to fit.

What should I measure before shopping for a Las Olas Isles or Rio Vista waterfront home?

Measure the glass line the main seating will face, the open span of the great room, and the covered terrace if you want outdoor pieces. Bring a photo from the dock looking back into the house; that is the view your furniture is judged from.

Do you carry furniture that fits a renovated Coral Ridge or Victoria Park ranch?

Yes. Lower ceilings and one long open room call for low-profile sectionals, round or rectangular dining tables and counter stools, all on the floor. Bring the longest wall length and the island position and a designer lays out the room with you.
