Light Oak Wall Unit with Open Display Shelving

The Coastal Oak is a full-wall composition at standard ceiling height built around light wood rather than a dark finish. Open display shelving sits either side of a centered television bay, with flush-front closed storage below and nothing above, so the wall stays open. It is made for bright rooms: waterfront homes, condos with large windows, and interiors with light tile or marble flooring.

Warm LED backlighting is recessed behind each shelf level and washes the back panel in soft light that brings out the grain of the oak without glare. The open shelving is meant to be filled with books, ceramics and plants rather than closed away, while the low run of flush-front doors keeps the bottom half of the wall quiet. An optional decorative back panel in linen, grasscloth or paint changes the tone of the whole composition.

Built to Your Wall

The Coastal Oak is a starting point, not a fixed size. The composition is redrawn to your wall width, ceiling height and television, with the storage adjusted to the room, and final measurements are taken at your home before anything is fabricated.

Materials and Finish Options

The casework can be specified in light oak, cerused oak or a bleached wood tone, with natural or lightly oiled oak also available. Lower doors are flush-front with soft-close hardware, in matching oak or a matte painted tone. Shelf lighting is warm LED recessed behind each level, and the panel behind the shelving can be left in wood or finished in linen, grasscloth or paint.

Custom wall units are quoted after a showroom consultation and an on-site measurement. The quote depends on wall size and height, materials, the amount of closed storage versus open shelving, integrated lighting, and whether a fireplace or TV alcove is built in. SoBe Furniture offers, but does not require the purchase of, a 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan. The 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan offered by SoBe Furniture is optional and can only be purchased at the same time as the merchandise that it covers. For merchandise to be covered under the 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan, the protection plan MUST be explicitly itemized within the same order as the merchandise. If a furniture protection plan is not purchased, all warranties provided, if any, are Manufacturer Warranties.

  • SoBe Furniture deliveries are available Monday through Friday, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm
  • You will be given a three-hour time window in which your delivery will be completed
  • If you live in a condominium, apartment, or gated community with restrictions, the delivery will occur during the time allowed by the community. If your condominium, apartment or community requires proof of liability insurance, elevator reservations or has any other specific rules or regulations, please make arrangements with both SoBe Furniture and your community’s management office at least one week prior to your delivery.
  • Your delivery includes assembly and set up along with the removal of any packaging materials. Sorry, but we do not hang wall-mounted mirrors, pictures, or any other pieces of furniture which require wall assembly.
