Asymmetric Mixed Material Entertainment Wall

The Piedmont Asymmetric takes the same oak, stone and matte cabinet mix and arranges it off center, with the open shelving, TV alcove and cabinet storage balanced visually rather than mirrored. It is an asymmetric layout for open plans: living areas that run into a dining room or a kitchen, where the furniture arrangement is not centered on the wall either.

A stone tile or ledger panel behind the television anchors the composition, while oak shelves float at varying heights on one side for a looser, curated arrangement. Warm LED lighting runs under the shelves, and a full-width row of matte painted upper cabinets carries across the top to tie the wall together from above.

Built to Your Wall

The Piedmont Asymmetric is a starting point, not a fixed size. The composition is redrawn to your wall width, ceiling height and television, with the upper cabinet run adjusted to the room, and final measurements are taken at your home before anything is fabricated.

Materials and Finish Options

The floating shelves and open sections are oak, in natural, lightly oiled, cerused or fumed finishes. The television panel can be stone, ledger stone, tile or large-format porcelain. Upper cabinets are matte painted in a tone selected to sit with the oak, with push-to-open or bar-pull hardware on the closed storage, and warm LED under-shelf lighting integrated throughout. Which side carries the shelving and which the storage is set when the layout is drawn.

Custom wall units are quoted after a showroom consultation and an on-site measurement. The quote depends on wall size and height, materials, the amount of closed storage versus open shelving, integrated lighting, and whether a fireplace or TV alcove is built in. SoBe Furniture offers, but does not require the purchase of, a 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan. The 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan offered by SoBe Furniture is optional and can only be purchased at the same time as the merchandise that it covers. For merchandise to be covered under the 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan, the protection plan MUST be explicitly itemized within the same order as the merchandise. If a furniture protection plan is not purchased, all warranties provided, if any, are Manufacturer Warranties.

  • SoBe Furniture deliveries are available Monday through Friday, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm
  • You will be given a three-hour time window in which your delivery will be completed
  • If you live in a condominium, apartment, or gated community with restrictions, the delivery will occur during the time allowed by the community. If your condominium, apartment or community requires proof of liability insurance, elevator reservations or has any other specific rules or regulations, please make arrangements with both SoBe Furniture and your community’s management office at least one week prior to your delivery.
  • Your delivery includes assembly and set up along with the removal of any packaging materials. Sorry, but we do not hang wall-mounted mirrors, pictures, or any other pieces of furniture which require wall assembly.
