Orbit 2 Seater Sofa

The Orbit 2 Seater Sofa is the compact sofa of Pebl's Orbit range: a mocha aluminum frame paired with teak, upholstered in light grey fabric and finished with one pillow. Robin Delaere, Pebl's creative director, describes Orbit as minimalism with a twist: a light, open frame meant to look good from every angle, with seating that changes shape through its Flex System. The range was designed in Belgium by the Pebl design team he leads, and the Orbit sofa won an Australian Good Design Award in 2025.

The frame reads light and open, and the warmth of the teak keeps the darker metal from feeling heavy. It is a clean contemporary look that settles into a modern outdoor room without dominating it.

At 69 inches wide, the two seater suits a covered loggia, a pool deck, or a terrace where you want genuine seating without crowding the space. Its defining feature is the Flex seating system, which Pebl describes as patented. It sets into three positions: regular seating for upright conversation, deep seating for a more relaxed angle, and lounge seating when you want to stretch out. That range makes it a practical choice for a household that entertains one weekend and wants a quiet afternoon the next. A three seater is offered in the same collection if you need more length along a wall or a pool edge.

South Florida weather is the real test, and these materials hold up to it. Aluminum does not rust, so salt air and humidity are not a concern for the frame, and the teak will weather to a soft silver grey if left untreated or keep its warmer tone with periodic oiling. As with any upholstered outdoor piece, move the cushions and pillow under cover ahead of an afternoon storm.
