Tolo Dining Table
Description
The Tolo Dining Table is an extra large outdoor dining table made in FSC teak, wood through both the top and the base. The grain and the heft of the teak do the work here, so the table reads as one solid form rather than a slab set on a frame. The look is warm, plain and modern.
It is built at extra large scale, which makes it a table for a full group rather than a morning coffee outside. It works on a covered terrace, along a pool deck or in a courtyard with enough room to pull chairs all the way around. There are two ways to take it: the full FSC teak version, or a mocha aluminum frame with a beige ceramic top, which is arriving soon for anyone who wants a lighter frame and a harder surface.
Teak suits South Florida. Left to the sun and the salt air it will move from honey brown to a soft silver grey, and oiling it once or twice a year holds the warmer color if you prefer it that way. The wood takes humidity and afternoon storms in stride, and on the mocha version the aluminum frame will not rust while the ceramic surface wipes clean after a rain.
