Quatro Trays
Description
The Quatro tray pairs a mocha aluminum frame with FSC teak handles. The aluminum keeps it light enough to carry one handed, and the teak gives the piece its warmth along with handles that stay easier to hold than bare metal after a few hours in full sun. It reads as a finished object, not a utility piece.
Quatro comes in three sizes, sold separately, so you can take one or build a set. The large, at 33 inches across, carries a full round of drinks or a cheese board for a crowd. The medium sits between them at 29 inches, wide enough for a pitcher and a few glasses without taking over a side table. The small, at 25 inches, suits a coffee table, an ottoman, or a quick trip out to the pool deck with glassware.
The aluminum frame does not rust, which matters on a coastal terrace. The teak handles hold their honey tone longer with an occasional coat of teak oil; left alone, they will weather to a soft silver gray. Wipe the trays dry after an afternoon storm and they carry through a Florida season without much fuss.
