Wave Side Table
Description
The Wave Side Table is built around a 6mm ceramic top set on an aluminum frame with a single cylindrical base. The proportions are compact and the lines are simple, so the table reads as a small sculptural object rather than a piece of hardware. In the graphite ceramic and charcoal aluminum version, the whole table settles into one dark, even tone.
At 17 inches square and 14 inches high, it is sized to sit beside a lounge chair or at the end of a sofa. The single center column means you can pull it in close without fighting four legs. Choose Dark Charcoal for a deeper, more graphic look, or Mocha for something warmer next to teak, rope, or sand colored cushions. A pair of them in front of a sofa also works in place of one larger coffee table.
Aluminum does not rust, so the frame handles salt air and humidity without the corrosion you get from steel. The ceramic top is dense and nonporous, so sunscreen, citrus and rain rinse off with mild soap and water, and strong sun will not fade it. After an afternoon storm, dry it off and the table is ready to use again.
