Wave Sofa
Description
The Wave Sofa is a three seat outdoor sofa on a mocha finished aluminum and teak frame, wrapped in 6mm latte olefin rope. It belongs to Pebl's Wave range, a bold, sculpted family of rounded forms meant to suggest flowing motion and echo the ocean. Wave was designed in Belgium by Pebl's design team led by creative director Robin Delaere.

The seat is upholstered in Sunproof fabric in Volga 164, a quiet neutral that sits easily against the rope and the warm grain of the teak. The proportions are low and wide, so the piece reads as relaxed rather than formal. At 104 inches wide it is a true three seater, long enough that three adults are not negotiating for space, and at 38 inches deep it is made to sit back into rather than perch on. It suits a covered terrace, a poolside lounge area or a loggia where you want one long sofa instead of a cluster of chairs. The Wave Sofa is offered in a single combination, Mocha and Teak, so the decision is about scale and placement rather than finish. Set it with the rest of the Wave range or let it anchor the seating on its own.
Outdoors in South Florida the materials matter more than the styling. Aluminum will not rust, and teak is naturally dense and oily, so it takes humidity in stride and will weather to a soft silver grey over time if you leave it unsealed. Olefin rope and the Sunproof seat fabric are built to hold their color under strong sun, and a rinse with fresh water after a stretch of salt air or an afternoon storm is about all the routine care this piece asks for.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Wave Sofa handle sun, salt air and storms?
The aluminum will not rust, and teak is naturally dense and oily, so it takes humidity in stride and weathers to a soft silver grey if left unsealed. How big is the Wave Sofa, and where does it work best?
It measures 104 inches wide, 38 inches deep and 31 inches high: a true three seater, deep enough to sit back into. It suits a covered terrace, a poolside lounge area or a loggia where one long sofa works better than a cluster of chairs, either with other Wave pieces or anchoring the seating on its own. It comes in one combination, Mocha and Teak.
