Sunset Bar Stool
Description
The Sunset Bar Stool is a bar height outdoor seat built on an aluminum frame, offered in a Light Green or a Mocha finish. The look is quiet and modern, with the finish doing most of the talking. It sits just as well in a color forward outdoor room as it does in a neutral one.
At 23 inches wide and 22 inches deep it tucks close to a bar without crowding the seat next to it, and the 29 inch seat height suits a standard bar height counter or island. Give each stool enough room along the counter that nobody is fighting for elbow space. Light Green is the softer, more playful of the two finishes and looks right against white stucco and pale stone, while Mocha is the warmer neutral and sits comfortably next to teak and darker pavers. Either choice works around a summer kitchen, a pool bar, or a covered terrace counter.
Aluminum is the right frame material for this climate because it does not rust, so salt air, humidity, and afternoon storms do not work against it the way they do against steel. Rinse the frame with fresh water from time to time to clear salt and pollen and the finish stays clean. If the stool will live in full sun year round, a cover in the off season or a spot under the overhang will help the color hold.
