Cloud Trays
Description
Cloud Trays are serving trays built on a mocha aluminum frame with FSC teak slats. The teak runs in narrow bands across the surface, framed by a thin dark border that keeps the whole piece looking light. The effect is quiet and modern, closer to a small furniture piece than a standard tray.
Three sizes are offered: large, medium and small. Scale is modest in all three, so they sit on a table without taking it over. The large works as a coffee table surface for glasses and a carafe, the medium suits an ottoman or a side table, and the small is right for a drink and a phone beside a lounge chair. Ordered together they read as a set, which is how most people use them on a covered terrace or by the pool.
Aluminum does not rust, so the frame handles salt air and humidity without trouble. The teak slats are natural wood and will move from warm brown toward a soft silver gray if they are left untreated in full sun, while occasional oiling holds the original tone. Bring them under cover during afternoon storms and wipe them dry, and they keep looking their best.
