Jack Dining Armchair
Description
The Jack Dining Armchair sets a top frame woven in black olefin rope, finished in a square pattern, over a charcoal aluminum base. A sunproof fabric seat cushion completes it. The look is graphic and clean lined, a dining chair with real structure to it rather than a thin cafe chair.
The frame is 24 inches square, so several chairs pull up to a table without crowding the setting, and the arms give you somewhere to rest between courses. It comes in one finish, Dark Charcoal, and that restraint is the point of the design: black rope over a charcoal base, with no contrast trim to fight the rest of the furniture. It mixes easily with a stone, teak or glass table, and it works on a covered terrace, around a poolside dining table, or on a rooftop where the furniture should not compete with the view.
Aluminum does not rust, so the base holds up close to the water, and olefin rope keeps its color through long stretches of direct sun. After an afternoon storm the weave dries quickly, and an occasional rinse with fresh water clears salt and pollen out of the pattern. The sunproof fabric on the seat is made for the same conditions, so the chair can stay in use through a Florida summer.
