Traycy Tray
Description
The Traycy Tray pairs a mocha aluminum frame with FSC teak handles, so the piece is part hardware and part warm wood. The aluminum keeps the frame light and the profile low, while the teak gives it the hand feel of a well made kitchen piece. It is a quiet, modern tray that does not compete with the furniture it sits on.
At 22 inches wide and 12 inches deep, it has room for a pitcher and a set of glasses without looking oversized on an ottoman or a low table. The two inch height lets it store flat, and the teak handles are easy to hold with wet hands on the way out to the pool. It is offered in one finish, Mocha Teak, so the deep brown frame reads against the lighter grain of the wood. It suits an outdoor room where the seating is already doing the talking and the accessories are meant to stay calm.
Aluminum does not rust, which matters within sight of the ocean, and the frame is finished to live outdoors rather than be carried in after every use. The teak handles will lighten toward a silver grey over seasons of direct sun if left untreated, or hold closer to their original tone with occasional teak care. After an afternoon storm, wipe it down and it is ready to go back out.
