Jack Counter Stool
Description
The Jack Counter Stool pairs a mocha aluminum base with woven sand olefin rope, finished in a square pattern that gives the frame its texture. A sun proof fabric cushion softens the seat. The look is warm and understated, easy to set against stone counters, teak, and the sand and white palette most South Florida outdoor kitchens already run.
This is counter height seating. The seat sits at 25.6 inches, which suits a standard outdoor kitchen counter or a bar ledge, and at 23 inches wide you can line up three or four stools along a run without crowding them. It works on a covered lanai, at a pool bar, or along the counter side of an outdoor kitchen island. Jack comes one way, a mocha base with sand rope, so the decision here is scale and quantity rather than finish.
Outdoors in South Florida the materials are doing real work. The aluminum base will not rust, and olefin rope is made to hold its color in strong, direct sun rather than wash out over a season. Salt air and humidity still leave a film, so rinse the rope with fresh water from time to time and bring the cushion in ahead of an afternoon storm.
