Description
The Haven coffee table is a round outdoor table built on an FSC teak frame and legs with a 6mm beige ceramic top. The warm grain of the teak against the flat, pale ceramic gives it a quiet, natural look that still reads modern. It is a simple shape, and that is the point, since nothing about it competes with the seating around it.
It comes in two sizes. The small measures 24 inches across and stands 11 inches high, which suits a pair of lounge chairs or a compact balcony grouping. The large measures 32 inches across and stands 13 inches high, better centered in front of a sofa or a full sectional where you want room for a tray, drinks, and a book. Both sit at lounge height rather than dining height, so they pair naturally with deep outdoor seating.
Outdoors in South Florida, the ceramic top does the daily work. It is a hard, non porous surface, so spills wipe off and strong sun does not fade it. Teak is a good match for this climate because it handles humidity and salt air well, and left untreated it will weather from honey brown to a soft silver grey; if you prefer the original tone, periodic cleaning and teak oil will hold it.
