Description
The Coast Chair and Ottoman pairs a deep lounge chair with a matching ottoman on a full aluminum frame. The cushions are padded and covered in a sunproof velvet, which gives the set a soft, upholstered look closer to indoor seating than to typical outdoor furniture. The frame is offered in Dark Charcoal or Mocha, and the overall effect is quiet and modern rather than decorative.
At 27 inches wide the chair slips into the corner of a covered terrace or sits beside a pool without crowding the space, and the ottoman turns it into a full lounge seat when you want one. Two of them facing a low table make a conversation group, while a single chair and ottoman is enough to turn an unused stretch of patio into a reading spot. Dark Charcoal reads more graphic against pale stone and white stucco; Mocha is the warmer choice next to wood, rattan and heavy planting.
Aluminum does not rust, which matters a few miles from the water, and the sunproof velvet is built to hold its color through long hours of direct sun. Rinse the frame now and then to clear salt and pollen, and let the cushions dry fully after an afternoon storm. On a screened lanai or a covered terrace it is a straightforward piece to live with year round.
