Sunset trolley

The Sunset trolley is a rolling serving cart from Pebl's Sunset range, best known for its lounger that works as a sun lounger by day and a sofa by night. It pairs a full mocha aluminum frame with teak details and loose trays that lift off, so one piece moves easily from serving to staging to a drinks station. Like the rest of the range, it was designed in Belgium by Pebl's design team led by creative director Robin Delaere, and Pebl reports that the Sunset trolley design received a 2024 Les Grands Prix du Design Gold and a Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum.

The trolley carries a fixed teak tray, a bottle holder and a small bottle cooler, and it comes with two loose teak trays, one large and one small, plus a large aluminum tray. The dark mocha frame against warm teak keeps the look modern and understated rather than nautical. It is offered in the single Mocha finish.

At 36 inches wide and 27 inches tall, it sits beside a dining table or a seating group without crowding either. Two wheels let one person roll it from the kitchen door to the pool deck and back, and the loose trays let it work as a staging surface during a party and a drinks station afterward. It suits a covered terrace, a poolside lounge or a summer kitchen, anywhere drinks and plates need somewhere to land.

Aluminum does not rust, so the frame takes salt air and humidity in stride. The teak weathers to a soft silver grey if left untreated, or holds its warmer tone with periodic oiling. Roll the trolley under cover when an afternoon storm moves through, and wipe it down once the weather passes.
