Tapiz Outdoor Rug
Description
Tapiz is an outdoor rug in Textilene, offered as a rectangle in two neutral colors, beige and light gray. Both read as quiet ground layers, which is usually what you want under a seating group. The rug pulls the furniture together instead of competing with it.
The choice comes down to size and color. The beige rectangle is the larger of the two at 118 inches by 157 inches, wide enough to carry a full seating group with the front legs of every piece landing on the rug rather than half on and half off. The light gray rectangle, at 79 inches by 118 inches, suits a pair of loungers, a compact conversation set, or the run of a covered walkway between the house and the pool deck. Beige warms up gray porcelain and poured concrete, while light gray settles in against teak and warmer stone.
Tapiz is made for outdoor rooms, so the spot you give it matters. A covered lanai, a shaded terrace, or the protected side of a pool deck all work well. South Florida sun, salt air, and afternoon storms are hard on anything left fully in the open, so the more cover the location has, the better the rug will look season after season.
