Jack Barstool
Description
The Jack Barstool sets a vertically woven black olefin rope frame on a charcoal aluminum base, with a sunproof fabric cushion on the seat. The vertical weave gives the stool a tailored, architectural line rather than the loose look of most outdoor rope furniture. It comes in dark charcoal, which keeps it quiet next to stone, teak, or a dark bar front.
At 23 inches wide and 22 inches deep, Jack has a small footprint, so three or four line up cleanly along an outdoor bar or a poolside counter without the seats crowding each other. The seat sits at 29.53 inches, which is bar height, so plan on a full height bar rather than a kitchen counter. The woven frame flexes slightly under you and the cushion carries the rest, which is what makes it comfortable for a long dinner outside. Dark charcoal is the only finish offered.
The aluminum base does not rust, which is what you want this close to salt air. Olefin rope holds its color in strong sun, so the black will not go chalky after a season on an exposed deck. Bring the cushion in ahead of an afternoon storm, and rinse the frame with fresh water from time to time to keep salt from settling into the weave.
