Tolo 1 Seater Sofa

The Tolo 1 Seater Sofa is a single seat lounge piece with a wide, squared frame and olefin rope woven across the backrest. It belongs to Pebl's Tolo range, whose modular sofa won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026 and converts into a deeper lounge seat or a daybed through a backrest mechanism Pebl describes as patented. Like every Tolo piece, it was designed in Belgium by Pebl's design team led by creative director Robin Delaere, and it reads low and horizontal, closer to modern indoor lounge seating than to traditional patio furniture.

It comes two ways: a mocha aluminum frame with latte rope and light grey upholstery over a light grey rope backrest, or teak wood with beige rope and sunproof fabric upholstery. The teak version belongs to Tolo Teak, which Pebl introduced as its first full teak collection, with solid teak legs and handwoven rope backrests. The finish decision is mocha or teak: mocha keeps the frame quiet and lets the light grey upholstery carry the room, while teak brings the warm element to a covered terrace or lanai.

At 36 inches wide and 42 inches deep, this is a genuinely deep seat, made for sitting back rather than perching. A cushion is included, and the single seat format is easy to plan around: two facing a low table, four squared off by the pool, or one pulled up to seating you already own.

The mocha version sits on an aluminum frame, so salt air will not rust it, and olefin rope holds its color well under strong Florida sun. Teak left untreated weathers to a soft silver grey over a season or two, and oiling it holds the original tone longer if you prefer that look. As with any outdoor upholstery, the cushion lasts longest when it is brought in or covered ahead of an afternoon storm.
